     Phuket is the largest island in Thailand, situated on the western coast under the territorial waters of Andaman Sea in Indian Ocean. The total superficies is 543 square kilometers; it is about the same size to Singapore. The widest part, measured from the East end to the West end is 21.3 km., the longest part from the North end to the South end is 48.7 km. It is administratively divided in to 3 districts: Muang , Thalang, and Kathu District.
     Phuket has the tropical monsoon climate. The temperature is warm all year round; the average temperature varies from 20 °C -36 °C.

      The hottest time of the year is from April through May with the temperature ranging from 27 °C-36 °C. Frequently, a short heavy rain showers down in the middle of the sunny day, do not be wondered.

     The wettest time is between September and October, it is necessary to remember an umbrella. Despite of the wet day, you do not need to be afraid that there is nothing to do. If you are still in Phuket, there are still a lot of things to do, though.

     The best time to visit Phuket is during the cool northeast season, from November through May, when the weather is not too humid. The average temperature is around 24 °C-32 °C.
